Cluster Flies
A Covers Compilation
Reimagining Phish’s
Farmhouse Album

About Cluster Flies
After over 20 years of encouraging fans to Go See Live Music, JamBase’s message was put on hold by the COVID-19 pandemic. While waiting for concerts to safely return, the Cluster Flies concept was conceived last year, both in recognition of the 20th anniversary of Farmhouse and as a way to connect fans with the musicians they love.
The limited-edition 3LP release features custom artwork and a poster designed by Phish collaborator Jim Pollock. Phish covers were recorded by Umphrey’s McGee’s Brendan Bayliss, Club d’Elf, Daniel Donato, Chris Forsyth, Neal Francis, Jennifer Hartswick, Amy Helm, Lindsay Lou, Reed Mathis, White Denim’s James Petralli, Strand Of Oaks, Sylvan Esso, William Tyler, Sadler Vaden, Vetiver, Ryley Walker, and a supergroup led by Tim Palmieri.
A true reimagining of Farmhouse, the songs on Cluster Flies are presented in an entirely new sequence with five bonus tracks alongside the 12 others on the original album, all expertly mastered by engineer Joe Lambert.
Each song on Cluster Flies will premiere through a daily rollout on JamBase and a corresponding episode of The JamBase Podcast that will also feature interviews with each of the participating artists. A select number of Cluster Flies songs will debut on SiriusXM’s Phish Radio on episodes of Crowd Control and Headbands.

Artwork by Jim Pollock
Jim Pollock has been creating art for himself, the music industry, and causes near to his heart for over 30 years. He helped the gig poster resurgence in the late 90s & early 2000s with his trademark (and largely, underrepresented) lino-cut style which involves zero electricity and printing each poster by hand. His iconic imagery has become synonymous with the band Phish; for whom he has created art since the 1980s when they attended Goddard college in Vermont. Jim continues to work for Phish and raise money for their charities, The Waterwheel Foundation and Divided Sky Fund. Jim designs for other bands as well as commercial clients such as Ben & Jerry's, Burton, Magic Hat, and Celestial Seasonings.
His current focus in his newly opened Pittsburgh studio involves wood sculpture & signage as well as the more traditional ink on paper.
Mastered by Joe Lambert
A music lover since childhood, a lifelong musician, Joe Lambert has spent his life in the music world. Shaped by the music he loved and the bands he played in throughout his youth, Joe “heard the call” early and has never looked back.
Joe opened JLM in 2008 in DUMBO Brooklyn and solidified his place as one of the most sought after mastering engineers in New York. Now in Jersey City he continues to add to his worldwide client base, working with a wide variety of record labels, producers and artists including Lindsey Sterling, The Black Crowes, Sharon Van Etten, The National, Deerhunter, The B-52’s, Wye Oak, Daughters, Stephen Sondheim, Animal Collective, The Smithereens, Warren Haynes, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Marc Broussard, Black Dice, Angelo Badalamenti, The Juan Maclean, Tall Tall Trees, The Bottle Rockets, Don Byron, R Kelly, Steve Gunn, Alice Cooper, Of Montreal, Mandy Patinkin, Amber, Stephen Lynch, Moby, City And Colour, Nicolas Jaar and many more.
